Tech You Can Love
Yahoo! Music Unlimited completely changes the way I listen to music for the first time since I bought a CD player. I don't even have a portable MP3 player, yet I almost never listen to CDs because of the variety available on my laptop whenever I'm connected to the internet.
Music Unlimited costs me $6.99 a month only because I've been too lazy to sign up for a full year at an even lower monthly price. I graduated about six months ago from the free Launchcast service, an excellent internet "radio" service that broadened my musical tastes more rapidly than at any time since high school and college.
There is the occasional frustration, that something on Launchcast is not available on demand with the subscription (Steve Howe, Lovage), or that the best albums by an artist are not available (Elvis Costello), but by a bang for the buck measure, I have never been happier. Well, not since Napster was illegal.
